The World Pool-Billiard Association (WPA) is pleased to announce that it will stage its inaugural World 10-Ball Championship later this year in Manila, 6 – 12 October.

Raya Sports, in conjunction with the Philippine Billiards & Snooker Association (PBSA) are the organisers of this event. WPA President Ian Anderson will meet with Raya Sports Chairman Yen Makabenta to formally sign the contracts within the next two weeks.

This 2008 event carries prize money of USD400,000.

The WPA now has world championship events for all its disciplines, 8-Ball, 9-Ball, 10-Ball and 14.1. Through our partners we have four world championship events to present each year to our players with more than USD1,000,000 prize money on offer.
